Letter re: publication of his R38 paper as a book (October 1930)

My dearest Mother,

I had hoped to have had a letter from you to-day and hope that you are well and that Dad is progressing.

I have very little news for you. We are all pretty well and Posh is very lively. I am very busy at the factory and am writing an important report which one day will be published. That R.38 paper of mine, by the way, was (I forget if I told you) published again as a book at 5/- a time. I have no royalties however as by receiving the prize I automatically sold the copyright to the Aeronautical Society.

Much love from Marjorie & Posh and me to you both,

Your own son
