Letter re: invitation to premiere of "Dirigible" (June 1931)

Ridgemont Hotel
South Farnborough

My dear Mother & Dad,

Thank you for your good wishes for my Birthday. Yours was the only letter I had. I heard to-day however from Grandma, who apparently had not forgotten the day but my address.

I gather from her letter that she is better and that you are looking well – which is nice to hear.

‘Dr Roxbee Cox and friend’ have had an invitation to attend the ‘premier presentation’ for a film called ‘Dirigible’ at the Tivoli next Monday. Marjorie & I hope to go. There are lot of airship features in the film, I gather.

Christopher keeps well & jolly. His vocabulary is miraculous now and he talks loudly and at length. He seems unable to talk, walk or play quietly. His energies overflow in noise. He seems a very big boy now.

Well, I hope you, Mother, are as well as I am told you look & that Dad is OK. We all send our love to both of you.

Your own son
