My dearest Mother,

History of visit to Paris.

Fri.25th Nov. Cancelled airline tickets as weather was bad and machines new.

Sat. 26th Nov. Left Victoria at 11 am. on the Golden Arrow. Good crossing, though ship rilled. Ship seemed full of aircraft people. Arrived Paris 5.45. Went to dinner with some people named Villiers. They took us to the Bal Tabarin.

Sun. 27th Nov. Went to Aero Show. Late afternoon went to Louvre. Later still went to the pictures with a friend. Then dinner at the Café de la Paix. And so to bed.

Mon. the 28th Nov. Meetings all day for me. Marjorie out with Mrs Villiers in the morning visiting Paguin & Chanel, & out shopping with Ellis in afternoon. Dinner at hotel.

Tues the 29th Nov. Meetings all day for me. M. attending dress shows with the rich Mrs V. We took the Villiers to dinner & the Casino – Maurice Chevalier.

Wed. the 30th Nov. M. out with Mrs Stewart shopping in morning. She had lunch at the Ritz with the r. Mrs V. The Stewarts & we mess about in the afternoon pottering around, & had tea at Rumpelmayers in the Rue de Rivoli. We had diner a deux at the Café de la Paix & then caught the train-ferry leaving Paris at 9.50. We were awakened by the rolling of the boat at 4.30, were sick at 5.45 and reach Dover at 6.20 am. Home about 9.30 am. And so to work.

We have been out to Windsor this afternoon with Jem, Christopher taking tea at the Siamese Legation. He is not yet back at the time of writing.

I hope you are feeling better. We all send love.

Your own son

Harold
